2010 Season Finally Over, Now Get To Work (Resign Champ)

Although there was some intrigue down the stretch of the season watching Timmy take some snaps and show flashes of promise, things are now going to start getting mighty interesting in Bronco Land. After getting thoroughly dominated by the Chargers during the better part of today's game, Timmy almost mounted a logic-defying comeback. Good thing it didn't happen, as it would have dropped the B'cos down several positions in the draft. With the 2nd overall pick, we should be able to draft that monster DE from Clemson and start rebuilding something resembling a defense. I'm not sold on Timmy yet (it's too early to draw definite conclusions whether he'll succeed in the NFL), but he has shown enough promise and the defense has shown more than enough shittiness to make it clear where the draft has to be directed....oh, and resign Champ already.

It has been largely leaked that Elway will become VP of Operations. Why not? If nothing else, it lends some credibility to an organization that has been hemorrhaging credibility at an alarming rate for some time now. The only downside I see is that the team needs to focus on defense, which might not be Elway's forte....a good first move would be to resign Champ.

While the top draft selection is clearly a make-or-break decision, hiring the right coach is equally or more important. In line with the draft priority, my preferences would be a defensive-minded head coach. I'd be pretty happy if Chucky were somehow brought in (he's been a big Tebow supporter since he was drafted), but I can't see Bowlen spending the dough. Kubiak also seems unlikely, since it sounds like he'll stay in Houston. Harbaugh? I don't watch college football, so don't ask me. Should be interesting to see what transpires the next few months.....to heck with the 2010 football season.....and resign Champ please.

Kubes is staying in Houston. Plenty of options out there for a coach, let's hope John has a wildcard up his sleeve. I would love to see Harbaugh but also think he will either go to SF or University of Michigan. Not sold on Tebow either good or bad. Solid start but let's face it none of the games mattered and our defense is so pitiful.
Getting Dumervil back and drafting Bowers from Clemson would be like to 1st rounders. We also need more D-lineman, a safety and another CB, not to mention Re-Signing CHAMP!
The future is already looking brighter and I will care for once about the draft and off-season. When do pitchers and catchers report? Go AV's.

You know baseball is so around the corner....first Cactus league game is in 54 days!

Tough loss for the Avs last night. Completely flukey goal was the difference....I guess not to mention Luongo being pretty stellar and Andy letting in one softie (although he played well otherwise).

Did someone say "resign Champ"?

Coaching intrigue will be intense.

I would cosign on your remarks, TD. Having Champ is much better than not having him (see Marmalard dicing our secondary yesterday). Sorry no HiFive today, as I was back in the dentist's chair at 830for the first-half of a double root canal.
Unwar old metal fillings from the 80s.

War the Broncos' future.

Seriously, i think they could completely ignore their offense (aside from a late-round QB pick) and build a bad-ass defense. Their second-round pick is a really good position, too. They can get a game-changing (possible long-haired) linebacker
CARGO!?!? CARGO?!?!? I mean, have you seen this?!?!?

You know I'm loving the Cargo deal!!!

Will feel a lot better when it's officially inked....unwar root canals!

Does anyone know if F-Bomb (Lloyd) is under contract for next year?

I'm watching the Orange Bowl now. I'm now a believer. I say we need to 1.) Trade both Knowshown and Tebow and our first round pick to Carolina and move up and draft Luck 2.) address defensive needs through free agency and in later rounds of the draft 3.) re-sign Champ and move him to a Safety position 4.) Hire Harbaugh 5.) Lower beer prices at Invesco.

Luck does look pretty damn good. Elway probably will leave the Orange Bowl with Luck, Harbaugh, and Chucky in tow....

K,B and F is on the money all the way through. Getting rid of our two overrated 1st rounders while we can still get something for their "upside" and Tebow's "intangibles" before they both fade into the overpaid backup fray in the league seems like a pretty damn good idea. Definitely sold on Luck, Bowers, and Fairley. Not sold on the LSU corner. I also like Von Miller from A&M, but not a #2 pick. The Browns can have Mike Mularkey. We'll take Harbaugh. Oh, and sign Champ or something.

I don't want to hear any more of this Mularkey...
Failed Bills head coaches don't generally top my list.

ST. When you think about it, haven't all the Bills coaches failed?
HS. I love the fact that Luck can throw while on the run. That should be a prerequisite for all Bronco QBs.
Pat Bowlen - Lower beer prices at Invesco!
John Elway - Call me. I'll help you out with all this football related crap. I can assist in strongarming Carolina to give up that first round pick.

K, B, F - I thought Elway was going to be announcing today that you will replace Xanders in the front office. Looking really forward to those $1.50 stadium brews and the #1 overall pick...

TD - It's a hush-hush move. I'm running it behind the scenes. First order of business is to get rid of that F-ing mascot Miles. He's being replaced by Lemmy the Orange Orangutan.

I'm liking the sounds of that. Just don't let Sherman mess with Bernie. I know he's not beloved, but I got his back. And will be in the house tonite slapping him 5, hanging out at his dog park, etc.
